About Lee Forrest the Artist
Lee Forrest is an artist with an adaptable and intriguing career. From a young age, he has explored fine arts through various media, including oil, acrylic, pastel, and pencil. Moreover, as Guy Chase, a well-respected artist and professor at Greenville University, taught him, his academic inclination toward art was good.
Such geographical diversity weaves a tapestry of experience that continues to inform his art. His career path has been varied, having served as a counselor, a director at a Christian boys' home, and a director at a strategic communications firm. Along with this eclectic background, the founding of Lee Forrest Consulting, a brand identity and creative consultancy, underlines a many-sided personality who skillfully combines business acumen with artistic creativity.
The influence of famous artists such as Jackson Pollock, Makoto Fujimura, and Andrew Wyeth has brought their styles and philosophies into his realm of art.
The year 2018 signified a turning point in his career as he began to work with egg tempera and abstract painting. It was also when he interacted with Makoto Fujimura, who invited him to join his Culture Care Art Cohort, which enhanced his artistic networking and growth.
His involvement with the One Love Art and Music Festival and his art-teaching services for homeschooled high school students emphasize his commitment to community and education. Engaging with a wide spectrum of audiences deepens his views and greatly influences his artistic practice.
Lee Forrest's career is a rare combination of artistic exploration and professional diversity, shaped by a wide array of experiences and influences.
